preferably Colorado Avalanche ones?
i’m flying through denver in a few months and i’m a huge avalanche fan, and i know at the detroit airport you can find Red Wings hoodies/merch, so i was just wondering if they did the same thing in denver.
dang, there’s 6 places that sell sweatshirts and one sports-specific shop. i guess i could have gone to the airport website HA thank you!
I don’t know the shops well enough to say where, but I am sure you can find several vendors.

I need to find a flight for this week from Denver to Des Moines. All I have been able to find are tickets that start at about $300. I know its expensive because it is just a couple days before the travel date but I need to be in Des Moines before Friday night. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Driving isnt an option. I do not have a car with me. I need to know if anyone knows of certain ways to get cheap flights. does anyone know of a website where i could find some standby flights?
Greyhound Bus – Denver to Des Moines, depending on the exact bus you get on, it takes between 14 and 18 hours, and the discounted web fare is about $93.00. The Standard fare is only $106.
Amtrak runs trains from Denver to Chicago, but not through Des Moines. The nearest they get is Osceola. Takes about 12 hours and the fare is $79. Once you get to Osceola, Jefferson Lines buses run two trips daily from Osceola to Des Moines, at 10 am and 9:25 pm for between $16 and $20. Takes about 45 minutes. Don’t have any idea how that bus schedule matches up with any arriving train schedule, though.
For train information, see

For Greyhound information, see

You can make Jefferson Lines reservations through the Greyhound site.
Good Luck.
I was on Google Earth and was looking at Denver International Airport (KDEN) from a birdseye view and I swear it is in the shape of a swastika! I attached a diagram and a birds eye view picture below. I know the swastika is a symbol from ancient times, but it has a bit of a nasty totalitarian mark on it as well! Why is the airport designed in such a way? What are the benifits of this design?

Issues at Denver:
1) It’s a major hub. So need to accommodate many planes landing/taking off at the same time.
2) Obviously you don’t want a plane taking off from one runway to be at risk of crashing into a plane using a different runway. It’s also more efficient to not have runways intersect each other, like at O’Hare.
3) High altitude + hot summer weather = planes need longer runways to take off.
4) Planes want to take off and land while pointed into the wind. The wind in Denver changes direction a lot, so a layout like LAX would be no good.
5) When it was built, the airport was considered in the middle of nowhere and land was comparatively cheap.
So the obvious choice is to make a lot of long runways going in lots of different directions. But #2 means that the end of each runway has to be pretty far from the other nearby runways. Frankly, the shape they chose makes sense, operationally. Sure, they could have done something like a triangle inside of another triangle, but as far as heading into the wind, if 3 = good, 4 = better, because then the angle between the runway direction and wind direction may be even less.
in Falcon, Colorado?? Consider traffic and all that god stuff.
you want to be at the airport 2 hours prior to when the flight leaves
consider the time it takes to get from your house to the airport
add in about 30 minutes for traffic and parking
happy flying!
I am taking a trip within the next month to Colorado, and am landing in the Denver International Airport. I have never been before, and am nervous about getting lost (i know, i’m a wimp). Anyway, I have been trying to study maps of the airport online, but they are always confusing. I know so far that I am for sure landing in Concourse C, because it is a Southwest Airlines flight, and am confused about how to get to baggage claim in the Jeppesen Terminal. Someone told me I have to take a train/tram like thing to get there, but on the maps, it just looks like a bridge i could walk across? and are there different levels/floors on the concourses/Jeppesen Terminal? idk, im so confused! please help
and any pictures and maps are EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you!
You’ll do fine. There are plenty of signs around to direct you, also volunteers around with red cowboy hats that can help you also.
Who painted them and why? Anyone have any solid factual information?
Thanks.
I think it was this guy (Leo Tanguma):

Here’s information about the so called (and absolutely non-existent, irrational and unfounded) "Denver Airport Conspiracy theory" on Skeptoid, which also discusses Leo Tanguma’s murals:

To DIA in a matter of mins. Since I commute between here and Philadelphia.
Brighton is really close and you’ll have the least amount of traffic and no toll roads.
Once you get familiar with the drive you’ll start noticing country roads you can take just to vary the drive.
You can even take a bus/shuttle from Brighton if you don’t want to hassal with your car all of the time.
The houses/rents cost less in Brighton and you’ll have fresh produce all summer long….esp. green chiles, beans, ristras, onions, strawberry fields to pick your own strawberries, etc.
MANY Pilots live there because of the great drive and short distance to the airport.
Bon Voyage
Here is a picture of the capstone, anyone have any idea what the new world airport commision is? And what "new world" do they refer too? Masonic symbol on it, imagine that………..

Denver International contains WEIRDEST painting and etchings in the world. New World Order artist(s) gave generous rebates to politicians and were allowed a free hand.Uniformed thugs wave big decapitating swords while people "enjoy" the repression…in a word…SICK! Is this an "Americanistan" Utopia?!?!
Yes, it is true. But its secret.
Hertz, Avis, Fox, and Enterprise have Prius in their rental fleets. You may need to call ahead to see if they have one available there, or if one will be dropped off at that location for you to use. Be sure that you list the Prius in any preferences field.
When I traveled to Sea-Tac, WA last Sept., I was surprised and happy that they had a Prius available for me to rent at Hertz when I got there, as the website didn’t have one available when I made the reservation. Yes, I "upgraded" my car to get the Prius while there.
Meanwhile, not quite an airport rental, but you may be able to schedule a rental through a participating Toyota Rent A Car (TRAC) dealership: http://www.toyota.com/html/rental/index.html
