What is the US doing in Iran? what does the US want to do with Iran? i think its something about nuclear weapons. please i need this!
are we over there regulating? or giving them aid so they wont produce weapons? i need background info on why we are over there in the 1st place lol

Why was this large event, attended by hundreds of top climate scientists, ignored by the media?
I’m astounded that some people think a particular point of view should not be newsworthy, especially a very large international gathering.

Pegminer, I can only assume that your conferences weren’t discussing major current issues. However, if there some important discussion on something current, like climate change, I would have wanted to hear about it.

Maybe mainstream media is finally waking up and realizing global warming is a bunch of bull…

Whether israel see it that way is doubtful.
They won’t go even though they’re invited as they won’t/haven’t signed the same treaty.

My friend had a problem. She done her final year project with partner. Now her partner cheated her.
She and there mentor use that project for the national and international level conference without informing her.Now what can she do if she want to claim for it?? Its urgent. Please help.

Is it fun? What can I expect? Is there any downtime to meet and hang out with other kids we meet? Do they give us any freedom? How do they assign rooming? Are boys and girls in different buildings or what? Will this look really good on college applications? What college do you attend/have you attended?

And say anything else you want about your experiences at HOBY….

I am not a HOBY alumni but i have been to an event very similar NYLF (National Youth Leadership Forum) and i can tell you rooms are randomized although sometimes they might pair you with someone near your area. Generally boys and girls are on different floors and a curfew is enforced. Plus they do not allow the opposite sex to be on the floor of one or the other. You are given downtime to hang out at dinner and after the days activities have concluded and at some events on the final day they have a dance or some other event(s). Any extra curricular event shows up well on a transcript these days so i bet this would too. And as for it being fun it really depends on what you make of it and your luck of the draw. And by luck i mean don’t get stuck with crappy room mates that can be a pain. Hope i was some help.

It was decided in the meeting that the standard meridian for each country should be a multiple of 7.5.
i.) Please explain the logic behind this.
ii.) Sometimes the line seperating time zones do not follow these meridians exactly. Please explain these jogs/discrepencies.

Answer to question 2 is around major geographical features OR national boundaries that were close to, but not exactly at the meridian; a natural or political ‘line’ was a more logical dividing point that the completely artificial meridians.

Does anyone know the reason why the United Nations chose to hold an International conference in a small island like Bali, Indonesia? Is there any special reason?
