Will international flight prices go down next summer?

Posted by admin on February 22nd, 2010 and filed under international flight | 5 Comments »

With an increase in oil prices international flight prices almost doubled. For three months, it has been falling down and it keeps going in that way. Will airlines reflect it to the prices?

No one can predict what will happen that far in the future – including the airlines.

For one thing, airfares are set by supply and demand. If demand is strong, the airline has no reason to reduce prices – regardless of the price of oil. If demand for seats is low, the airline may be unable to raise prices enough to cover increases in expenses without losing large amounts of business.

With the world economy doing poorly and getting worse, perhaps demand for seats will be low next year and prices will come down. However, nothing in life is certain.

Checking in at airport for international flight?

Posted by admin on February 18th, 2010 and filed under international flight | 4 Comments »

Okay when you are flying international but you’ve done your booking by internet, do you just give them the printout that has your name and the flight details etc to the person at the check in counter, and they process that? Or is there something else you have to do. I’m going singapore airlines, if this makes any difference.

Actually you really don’t even need to bring the printout, just giving the counter agent your passport will do. It will make it easier to bring the printout with your confirmation or e-ticket number though. I always make a couple of copies and keep them with me until my travel is completed.

How many hours or minutes early do i have to ARRIVE at an airport for an INTERNATIONAL flight?

Get there 2 hours before yur flight. That way you can check in, get through security and get a snack for the flight without being rushed. Remember that they will not have meal service for awhile so a snack is a good idea in case you feel a little yucky in flight. Have a safe trip.

Can I take a basketball on a international flight?

I was wondering if I could take a basketball with my carry-on on a international flight. Does anyone have any experience?

I don’t see why not, but do keep in mind that inflatable things expand during your flight (even though the cabin is pressurized), so keep your basketball as deflated as possible and bring a pump to fill it back up once you reach your destination.

carrying a golf driver on an international flight?

Hi, i need to know if there is a charge on carrying a golf driver(not the whole set) on an international flight. And what will be the best way of carrying it.

Call your airline directly. some charge extra, some do not. The driver is like weapon. It can be handed directly to the flight crew. There are special containers for golf clubs rated for rough handeling. If you can’t afford them, try using a rifle case. A large rifle case will hold two or three clubs easlily.

What Do You Get For Free On An International Flight?

Posted by admin on February 1st, 2010 and filed under international flight | 5 Comments »

well i am going to india from canda and theres a 8 hour stay at london. I want to know what most people bring in a purse when on a long flight? Is lotion, mints, gum, combs, makeup, etc.. allowed?? And what do economy classes give on the plane for free? please help! and will i get a tv on my economy class during the international flight?

In long flights like yours they usually give soft drinks, juice, breakfast/lunch/dinner, depending on your flight departure hour. There is a TV set every 3 or 4 rows of seats and you can either take your small earphones or buy some in the plane to hear music or the films.
Be very careful with what you bring with you as hand luggage; a new regulation has been passed (the date is Nov 6th) about what travellers can carry as hand lugagge anywhere around Europe and it´s VERY RESTRICTIVE!!! Liquids are restricted to 100 mililitres per bottle/container carried in a plastic bag which cannot be bigger than 1 litre capacity. The bag can be opened for checking at security point. Medicines must be carried the same way and with the doctor´s prescription. Baby food and products bought in the duty-free shops will be allowed when carried sealed in that way. Coats and jackets will be scanned too. And any electronic tool (computers, ipods, etc) must be taken out from their bags or suitcases to be scanned apart too.
So if you don´t want to have problems in London (as you are taking a connecting flight from a European airport), put your make-up creams and lotions inside your lugagge and just take as hand lugagge your purse, passport, tickets, a magazice/newspaper and not much more. You will avoid problems.

Do you have to check in again if transfering from a domestic to international flight?

Posted by admin on January 28th, 2010 and filed under international flight | 3 Comments »

I am flying from Seattle to Newark to San Jose, Costa Rica. I was wondering what I must do in the Newark airport in order to get to my international flight? Will I have to check in again?

Gerald J has it right. When you get to the airport in Seattle ask at check in whether your bags will go straight through to Costa Rica. The check in person will know by the codes on the baggage labels.

I’ve tried looking all over the place, but I can’t find anywhere how many miles it takes to redeem a free international flight on United Airlines. Any help?

It depends on your destination. (ie. a free ticket to Japan would cost you 60K on the united’s savers chart)
