Are the arts institute or the International academy of design and technology-?

any good for interior design
i want to get into interior design, and i am interested in the seattle area. are those collages listed any good? my dad said that it will get me nowhere *he is a tool and dye maker* but i believe he is wrong.

I go to the Art Institutes International Minnesota in Minneapolis and am absolutely loving it. Now I go for a Graphic Design major, but I hear people are very, very happy with the Interior Design program. It could vary from school to school, especially with Ai. Take the Chicago school for example, it is a detailed more towards Culinary, while the LA school is more for Fashion Design. The Philadelphia School is more of an Animation school, and that’s a traditional medium (pencil / pen and paper) animation.

I will not lie, Ai is expensive, but I’m very happy with the school itself.

On a side-note, have you checked out the U of Washington, and their Interior Design program? What about Digipenn, they’re a HUGELY renowned school for any type of art. If your willing, I would even think UCLA, they’re very famous for many of their liberal degree’s.

If your interested, tour the school(s), and see what you like / dislike about the school. On an off day, go into the school and sit in during a class, or talk with the professors / students there. See if you can get hold of some alumnae from any of the schools your looking to going to.

Me personally, I’m in frequent contact with a designer from the Philadelphia School who works with Cartoon Network right now, and he’s responsible for a lot of the story-boarding / animation on the television show Chowder. I have also talked to more then a couple alumnae who have hit it off big. It’s taught me more then a couple things about the school, and the one main thing is that it will make you earn that degree. It is not easy. Remember that.

Which SUNY college its better to go for International Relations or Communication Studies?

The schools I m interest right now are: Buffalo State, Buffalo University,New Paltz, Plattsburgh. If there is any other college that its better please feel free to tell me and reasons why.
I m interest in diversity, Campus life, good academics, good programs for transfer students, If there is fun stuff to do around, how big is the college.. any other thing please feel free to tell me. Its really important to me because I m applying for this year.

Well as a Plattsburgh State alumni I am obvious going to tell you to head to P-burgh! Plattsburgh is full of diversity and has a large amount of diversity programs and activities with students from all over the world. While Plattsburgh is a small city there is a lot to do. There are Always Friday and Saturday night activities on campus that are free as well as activities downtown as well. You will also be just a ferry ride to Vermont, which has great things to do on the weekend. You will also be about 45 minutes to an hour from Lake Placid (home of the 1980 Olympics) as well as a 2 hour drive from the state capital. The academic programs at Plattsburgh, like all state schools are challenging with supportive faculty in small classes. I transferred there myself and I was welcomed from the first day and had many opportunities to get adjusted. If you like sports, there are many teams as well as intramural teams, open gym times, swimming and clubs. Hockey is huge in p-burgh and the annual Oswego vs Plattsburgh game is a blast. Men typically use the right side of their brain so they’re more likely to advance in Math and Science. From what I’ve gathered throughout my personal life; women don’t create much. Using houses as an example.. They TYPICALLY don’t design the house, they don’t lay out the blueprints, they don’t physically build it, & they don’t install all the features necessary for human inhabitants. They just don’t make things the same way a man does. Statistics prove this, and even though feminists try to deny it women are behind men in more fields than just Math and Science. Feminists would have you believe they’re being held back but in reality they don’t want to break from their traditional gender roles because it makes life easy. Any woman can get married and be a "home maker" but it requires more effort to actually make the home. The "glass ceiling" or comfort in the familiar?
This old tradition of let the man do the work while I take care of the kids and "make a home" really hasn’t changed much from the 50’s.

World Peace. I think it is A) impossible, and B ) horrible if ever made possible. There are certain fundamental differences that can never be solved thru compromise, or left alone with "to each his own." (For example, what if "my own" is raping babies or stomping puppy-skulls or something.) And at times, those irreconcilable differences will lead to war.

World peace could be possible only if all the differences that people fight for/over were erased. World peace would come only when all humans conformed to one nationality, one religion/philosophy, one race, one economic system, in short – one way of thinking and one way of behaving. That is exactly what every dictator has tried to do — and millions have (quite rightly) gone to war to stop them.

Think how bland and boring, how uniform and homogenized that world would be.

The truth is periodic wars – while doubtlessly tragic – are preferable to eternal peace. Thus I have no commitment to world peace.

Do I need to go to a tier 1 law school to realistically have a career in international law?

I think I kind of know the answer to this, but when looking at cost of attendance, any information would help. International and comparative law interests me the most, and my undergrad double majors/double minors were oriented towards political and legal cultural differences. Thanks for the info!

Not necessarily, connections and experience can get it done as well. Speaking a foreign language would be an obvious step.
