Can I take a basketball on a international flight?

I was wondering if I could take a basketball with my carry-on on a international flight. Does anyone have any experience?

I don’t see why not, but do keep in mind that inflatable things expand during your flight (even though the cabin is pressurized), so keep your basketball as deflated as possible and bring a pump to fill it back up once you reach your destination.

There’s no restrictions on things like basketballs, as long as it conforms to the size restrictions your airline imposes for carry on luggage you should be fine. Just deflate it completely if size is a problem.

It’s not really a weapon so I assume you can…..but I’d call the airline to verify, Ask them if security is going to give you crap about the ball.

I once took a basketball on a plane and it was fine because it was deflated.
