I was just wondering how much money one is allowed to bring on an international flight. I am only planning on bringing a few hundred dollars in the local currency. Is that allowed?
If you’re departing from the US, you basically can bring as much as you want, but you will need to fill out a form and declare any amounts of $10,000 and over. As the previous answer said, all countries vary as far as the amount you can bring in without declaring the amount, a few hundred of local currency is fine and you should have no problem almost anywhere almost anywhere in the world.

Suzie,
It does not matter to the airlines how much money you have with you. There are restrictions on moving currency and how much you can bring into a country. You need to check on the country that you are going to go to and see what its rules are. Some countries require that you have a round trip ticket to enter.
Regards,
Dan
