Are you allowed to smoke on international flights?

I know you’re not allowed to smoke on domestic flights. But what about international flights? Does it depend on the airline or the country you’re flying to? I want to fly from Arizona to South Africa (where I have relatives). Since I’m a smoker, I don’t like the thought of going on an extremely long trip without being allowed to smoke. Does anybody know about this?

Smoking is not allowed in any flights no matter where you’re traveling to.

You’re not allowed to smoke on any flight I think. People around you might have health problems so think before you smoke.

NO airline that operates within the United States will allow any smoking whatsoever onboard their flights. No one wants to breathe in your unhealthy and disgusting secondhand smoke.

No you aren’t aloud to smoke. Smoke before you leave and take a night flight so you can just sleep.

NO, and here’s why. That smoke is constantly being circulated throughout the cabin. The air is recycled and if more than half on the plane smoke you can see why that would be bad.

Some third world airlines allow smoking when the plane leaves US air space. Like LAN Chile I am told. Good airlines do not allow smoking at all anymore and they found that when it was banned, the electronics and other systems on the plane did not break down as often.

So really, if you want to go long haul, chances are you will have to tough it out with nicotine patches and gum. Millions of others do so you can too.

smoking is band full stop on nearly every airline thank god. it is illegal to smoke on any flight which Leave or passes through EU air space or USA so any European flight if you try to smoke even in the toilets you will be arrested and fined up to $200,000 in Europe and you will be caught cause of alarms and its the same in the usa but i don’t know what the punishment is. most other of the worlds airlines have banned smoking for the comfort of non smoking passengers, safety reasons and specific country rules
