does Rule 240 still exist and does it work for international flights
to the US
(for those of you who dont know what rule 240 is
it is (or was) a rule that if you arrived at your airline and it was
cancelled or delayed the airline if you told me 240 me they would
try to get you booked on an airline or flight )
thanks
It still exists but every airline has a different way of handling. On their individual web sites most have an interpitaion of how they will handle those problems. Hope this helps.

Hi – yes it does still exist. If your flight is delayed you need to speak to the airline representatives at the airport to see what they will do to get you onto the next available flight. Some airlines are very uncooperative and they wont care if you are stuck at the airport for hours or are going to be late for an appointment or something. This is why its always good to book your travel through a travel agent, any time your flight is delayed and the airline are being difficult just call your travel and agent and they will try to get you on a flight at a similar time (they usually have contacts within the airline that you wont be able to contact)
