What is mean by camera ready paper?

In National & International level symposiums, the author is subject to submit the camera-ready paper with in the stipulated time. What is mean by that camera-ready paper? Why it is called so? From where this word originates?

Something is ‘camera ready’ when it can be shot by a printer’s camera for printing purposes. It means the printer doesn’t have to do anything to improve on the presentation…just shoot it.
