Why mr. Cheney is not more honest and call water boarding what it is, torture, instead of "harsh interogation?

Could it be that he is afraid of prosecution for violation of U.S. and international laws?

Cutting off someones leg, slitting someones throat, and electrocution are examples of torture.

Pouring water on someones face isn’t.

Yes. Cheney understands that his false pleas of righteousness have fallen on deaf ears. He is currently on his "rewriting history" tour in hopes of thwarting the criminal indictments in his future.

The fact that you agree with an opinion doesn’t make it the truth. It’s a shame leftists don’t understand that.

Because water boarding is not torture. I have had it done to me. It is unpleasant, but not torture.

In his own decrepit mind he makes himself tell the world Waterboarding is not torture. Total a&& saving denial. Japan used this terrible torture on American Soldiers. Many drowned by this inhumane torture. After so many attempts to make the Prisoners talk, the Waterboarding procedure should have been accepted as a failure, upon declaring the victum dead.
The Prisoner was innocent, when he could not disclose what the Prison wanted from them. Cheney don’t know what harsh interogation means and the sooner President Obama uses harsh investigations on Cheney and Bush, the better.

Perhaps, unlike some others, he doesn’t believe it’s torture. My question is this: why does it bother anyone, that people who want to kill you and me are being "tortured" so that we can find out about other planned attempts. Sorry, I don’t waste my time being worried about what is done to them.

Because torture is defined in treaties and codes. From Dick Cheney’s understanding, water-boarding does not fit the definition of torture. It is not completely clear whether he is right, or not, but he’s sticking to his story. If you haven’t read the language in the UN treaty, or the US Code that define torture, than you don’t know what you are talking about.

Actually "torture" is a relative thing. It icludes having your fingerrnails yanked out all the way to having to live with a spouse who will not stop talking and you have no where to escape. Torture is having to endure something painfull for some period of time.

It the victim is trained ( by practice or environment) the impact is relatively acceptable. If the victimer has been coddled and pampered then anything done will be objectible to him/her.

If waterboarding is a method we use to train our operatives, seals or special forces, then it can’t be too objectionable, so why are we making such a fuss over it.

If it gets vital information out of the terrorists without cutting their heads off, that sounds like a nice way to treat the bastards who are trying to kill our men women and children,.. don’t you agree?

If you think that giving the captured terrorists a cup of coffee, doughnuts, clean showers and a day at the movies, will encourage them to tell us about all the plans they have for killing our people, then you actually appear to be the kind of person who will quickly buy the Brooklyn Bridge.

Give it some thought, you may like it.
